If you love dessert and want something really easy to make, then this vegan apple crumble recipe is the perfect match.

I’ve always loved making easy desserts that can go from oven to table in less than 30 minutes. When I first began making vegan apple crumble, I realized it was the easiest and fastest recipe I had ever done, and also one of my favorites.

I changed this recipe to make it vegan in a very easy way. Just by switching regular butter for coconut oil you can achieve a wonderful crumble without compromising the results.

For this you’ll need:

  • 4 medium apples
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 melted coconut oil
  • 1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup of rolled oats

Make sure your apples are ripe since they will take a lot less time to cook.

If you want to make this gluten-free then use gluten-free flour.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 175ºC.
  2. Start by cutting the apples into small 1cm cubes.
  3. Sprinkle 1 tsp of cinnamon on top of them and mix well.
  4. In a bowl combine brown sugar, flour, rolled oats and melted coconut oil. Use your hands for this, mix until it reaches a crumbly texture.
  5. Pour the apples into a pie baking ceramic dish and distribute them evenly.
  6. Lay the crumble mixture on top of the apples in a way that covers them completely.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the top has turned golden.
